3 Reasons Why Your Kettlebell Workouts Aren’t As Effective As They Should Be

Kettlebells are simply a tool in the process. Just because you have bought yourself some rocking kettlebells and you fling them around every now and again does not mean you are going to get crazy ripped in next to no time.

The following are 3 things that you should be focusing on when you are performing your kettlebell training:

Make A Plan and Stick To It

Any kind of training will simply fail if all you do is completely random all the time. Make a plan and follow it, see where you have improved. If you have not improved where you would have liked to look back your training plan and see where you can tweak it to better highlight the areas you want to focus on.

Create a Challenge

Don’t just have your plan to be “Do 50 snatches a night” if 50 snatches are easy for you. Make your plan cummulative, meaning that you can start with 50 tonight but by the end of the month you want to be doing 100.

Then you will see how you keep getting better, also give yourself one off challenges to see how difficult your training really is. Say to yourself that you will do your kettlebell exercises but only after you have done a 2k run (or whatever) just something to keep you active and keep your training interesting while also being productive.

Your challenges should be hard and you should fail them more often than not. This will inspire you not to fail the next time and will eventually mean that you get the absolute most out of your training.

Keep Changing

As I said you need to keep looking at your workout and adapting it to weaker areas. The end game is whole body fitness not just ridiculous huge biceps on a skinny body. Keep the whole body working out with targetted action areas.
