Alyson Hannigan first made a impact in the tv world as Willow in the cult tv series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. From there she went on to play the nerdy but ‘adventurous’ Michelle in the American Pie trilogy. More recently she has hit our screens in the hugely popular How I Met Your Mother where she plays Lily Aldrin.

At home she is married to Alexis Denisof (who some of you may remember as Wesley Wyndam-Pryce from Buffy and later Angel) and they have a daughter, Satyana who was born in 2009.

So how Does Alyson Balance Family and Work and still have that great figure?

Well when asked about this Alyson was once quoted as saying:

“Pilates, I love Pilates and I just bought a Pogo stick that is so much fun. It’s like the best cardio ever”

While I am not too sure about the Pogo Stick (It might be a good workout if you could stay on the thing!) Pilates is a good way to stay in shape.

The main thing to remember when you are trying to maintain a figure like Alyson’s is that you must be combining some form of exercise with a proper calorie controlled diet. It is no use working out all the time if you are also eating vast amounts of food. All this will do is pile on the muscle and fat, which isn’t the look you should be after.

Instead you should be looking to burn off more calories than you are eating and maintain a lean and toned physique through your exercises.
