Sofia Vergara Workout and Diet Routine for Modern Family

We all know Sofia as the outspoken and fearless mother and wife in ABC’s hit comedy Modern Family but in real life Sofia says she is a lot like Gloria in that she embraces life and loves her body.

Sofia’s career started in the modelling industry and her first big break came as a performer in a Pepsi commercial at the tender age of 17. From there she went on to do some runway modelling and was host on a number of tv shows that were hugely popular in Latin America.

She first came on the scene for North American viewers with her roles in the Sitcoms Hot Properties and The Knights of Prosperity before landing a starring role in Modern Family.

Sofía Vergara is 5 feet and 7 inches tall. Her measurements are 34-28-39 (75-65-87).

So How Does Sofia Keep In Great Shape?

Well according to an interview she did with Self Magazine sofia doesn’t go with the traditional workout routines

“I hate to work out. I get in a bad mood when I have to do it! I’m not athletic. But I love dancing to Latin music, so I have a trainer who dances with me for an hour, three times a week. The truth is, you work out for health and you do look better. And I have a responsibility to the show. Nobody wants to see Gloria with a flat ass!”

Then when asked about her diet Sofia she reveals that she doesn’t quite stick the program as much as she would like to!

“I love Sophia Loren. She looks so great, and I don’t think there’s a picture of her on a treadmill or going to pilates! And there are pictures of her eating! I’m not saying eat whatever you want and be huge. I don’t eat red meat. I read once that Sophia Loren didn’t eat red meat. Since I was used to eating organic in Colombia, when I moved to Miami, the meat didn’t taste good to me, anyway, so I stopped eating it. I’ve been off it for 16 years. My problem is dessert. I don’t feel done eating until I have something sweet. On Mondays, my diet is good. Tuesdays, perfect. Wednesday night, um. By Thursday, it’s horrible.”
