I didn’t exactly stick to the rules though!
Hey everyone, Keith here, and today I attempted my very first 24 hour fast based on the eatstopeat program. Here is a little timeline of how my day went:
7pm Night Before
Finished a nice meal of Lasagne
12am Bedtime
8am Rise and Shine
No breakfast
Midday – Lunch Time
No lunch, however I did cheat and have 2 apples!
5pm Home Time
Starting to feel really hungry now
6.30pm Start Cooking Tea
I’m making a chicken curry from left over chicken. Cheated a bit here and ate some of the chicken!
7pm – Food!
I may have overeaten slightly as well when I had my evening meal, I had a bigger portion than I normally would have done but other than than I think it was pretty successful and my next fasting day should go a whole lot easier,
Tips
If I were to have my first fast again I would recommend doing it different than I did it, for starters I would have eased myself into fasting by just skipping lunch one time or skipping breakfast before diving straight into a 24 hour fast.
Also I definitely would not recommend eating something little to just get you through it like I did with my 2 apples. Those apples actually made me hungrier than I was before having them!
Drinking lots of water actually helped me as well, it gave me the feeling that I had eaten without actually eating anything.
Now I’ve just got to keep this up and throw in some exercise and I should reach my goals! I think next time I am going to give Eatstopeat another read before I dive in so I can have a proper plan of what I am doing as well!
Keith out.

Nice going Keith, you probably should have eased yourself into it but two apples and a little bit of chicken isn’t too bad as far as cheating goes, you could have gone off the deep end and had a whole cake as someone once told me they did!

Nice work Keith – the fasting definitely becomes easier over time, especially as you get used to how your body feels. Focus on the fact you’re losing fat and that should stop you cheating. Also, think about the effort you put in through the day to ensure you muscle it through to the end!
