Reebok R 5.80 Treadmill Review – AVOID

The Reebok R 5.80 Treadmill on paper has everything that you would want in a treadmill in this price range (click here for the best price). It’s got:

  • Air Tech Cushioning
  • Custom Weight Loss Center
  • 12 iFIT Workouts
  • Precision Quick Step Speed Control
  • Dual Grip EKG Heart Rate Monitor
  • Clearview Back light Display
  • iPOD Dock with Speakers
  • Space Saver (Folding) Design
  • 25 year warranty on the motor and 1 year parts and labor
  • more features…

So why then are we saying to avoid it? Well just take a look at these customer reviews and you will see why:

These reviews are just a small number of the amount of complaints there are circulating about this particular model. It seems clear to me that a large number of treadmills made by reebok have consoles that are prone to breaking down after minimal use. This is fine if you are within the 1 year parts and labor warranty because they will replace it for you. But if you are outside of this time then $400 seems to be the going rate for a new console.

To this reviewer this seems like a con, Reebok must be aware by the sheer number of returns and complaints they get (based on the number of complaints that can be found online) that there is a problem with their consoles, however they have chosen to only give customers 1 year warranty which effectively forces them to pay the $400 or shell out for a whole new treadmill.

So until I hear that Reebok has fixed these severe problems I will be advising people to AVOID this treadmill and to do some serious research into any other Reebok treadmills on the market.

In the meantime why not take a look at some of our other treadmill reviews and see if you can find one that is suitable for you and is reliable!

Finally someone who has the balls to say the truth. Every other website out there says how great this treadmill is, take it from someone who knows this treadmill and reebok’s customer support absolutely sucks!

the console will break on you its a matter of fact, it all just comes down to whether or not you are lucky enough to still have your warranty when it does!
