Using a Fitness Ball as an Office Chair?

I stumbled accross something cool that even I didn’t know, there is a huge number of people using fitness balls as office chairs! Apparently it provides you with constant exercise throughout the day as you are constantly using your leg, back and stomach muscles to maintain your balance! Pretty Amazing huh.

  1. I used a fitness ball as a chair for quite a while after I hurt my back. It really helps to keep those small core stabilizer muscles activated, which makes your back much less prone to injury.

    This, along with paying more attention to my posture while sitting has helped my back tremendously.

    I agree entirely about the back, a lot of people think sitting like this will make their back worse because there is no support for it, but the extra stabilizing that is required actually strengthens the back as you said!

    It’s good to hear that this tactic actually worked for you as well, I never sit behind a desk enough to make the most of this
